Carrot Salad

This carrot salad has an Indian touch and makes a perfect addition to many hearty meals.

Serves 4

Carrot Salad

  • 1 ripe tomato, diced 
  • carrots grated
  • 2 small celery sticks, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cucumber, diced
  • 1 clove of garlic, grated 
  • 2 tbsp. yogurt mint sauce
  • 1 small red cayenne chili, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 5 tsp red plum vinegar (optional - use white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt


  • Add garlic, mint sauce, chili, sesame seeds, vinegar, sugar and salt to a salad bow
  • Use a whisk or large fork and bend the ingredirents well
  • Add celery, carrots, tomato and cucumber to the bowl and ix well till all salad ingredients are well covered with salad dressing
